How to delete your SkinButler account and the data associated with it.
You can delete your SkinButler account, and the data attached to it, at any time. There are two ways to do it.
Delete from inside the app
- Open the SkinButler app.
- On the Home screen, tap your avatar in the top-right corner to open your Profile.
- Scroll down to the Account section and tap Delete account.
- Confirm by tapping Delete account in the dialog.
Your account is closed immediately and the data listed below is erased within 30 days.
Request deletion by email
If you have already uninstalled the app, or you cannot sign in, email info@skinbutler.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it.
We will confirm your request and complete it within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your face scan photographs and every image you have uploaded
- The analysis results and skincare routines generated from those scans
- Your email address, name, and any profile details you provided, including date of birth and gender
- Your scan history and in-app activity
- Diagnostic and crash data linked to your account
What is kept, and why
- Purchase and transaction records. Swedish accounting law requires us to retain records of payments for 7 years. These contain the transaction only — not your photographs or your analysis results.
- Aggregated, anonymised statistics. These cannot be linked back to you and are not used to re-identify you.
Copies may remain in encrypted backups for a short period after deletion before those backups are overwritten in the normal rotation.
Cancel your subscription separately
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it in the store you subscribed through — in Google Play, under Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions — or it will continue to renew.
